Implementation and performance of the artificial force induced reaction method in the GRRM17 program
This article reports implementation and performance of the artificial force induced reaction (AFIR) method in the upcoming 2017 version of GRRM program (GRRM17). The AFIR method, which is one of automated reaction path search methods, induces geometrical deformations in a system by pushing or pulling fragments defined in the system by an artificial force. In GRRM17, three different algorithms, ...
متن کاملSome Mathematical Problems in Artificial
The purpose of this essay is to sketch a few mathematical problems arising in artificial intelligence, with the hope that some may appeal to mathematicians, logicians, or theoretical computer scientists. I have thought about these problems off and on for some time, though mostly off, and am now attempting to set some of them down in response to conversations with Merrick Furst and Joseph Bates,...
متن کاملSome Logical Aspects of Mathematical Reasoning
This article discusses the applications of logic structure in Mizar Language, and discusses mathematical principles and methods, such as concepts and definitions, judgments and propositions, reasoning and proof, etc. These principles and methods are strictly followed by mathematical axiomatic methods, so does Mizar language system. On the 65th birthday of Professor Andrzej Trybulec, all the tea...
متن کاملOn the Communication of Mathematical Reasoning
This article discusses some methods of describing and referring to mathematical objects and of consistently and unambiguously signaling the logical structure of mathematical arguments.
متن کاملSome Aspects of Analogical Reasoning in Mathematical Creativity
Analogical reasoning can shed light on both of the two key processes of creativity – generation and evaluation. Hence, it is a powerful tool for creativity. We illustrate this with three historical case studies of creative mathematical conjectures which were either found or evaluated via analogies. We conclude by describing our ongoing efforts to build computational realisations of these ideas.
